Responsibilities:

• Continuously track activity and performance of team, and coach on improvements
• Review KPI’s regularly with Safety Director and propose strategies and tactics to achieve company goals
• Ensure HSE Supervisors have proper training and credentials
• Work closely with Safety, Operations, and Risk Management to prevent accidents, cargo claims, and employee injuries
• Perform fill-in duties of HSE Supervisor as needed (new hire orientation, individual/group training, commentary drives, truck inspections, online assignments)
• Assist with safety campaigns including presenting at company safety meetings
• Act as a knowledgeable resource for regulatory and procedural questions from the field, including HazMat, HOS, and other DOT procedures
• Must be able to travel to outside of home area for an extended amount of time to help complete company projects, engage with HSE Supervisors in-person, and visit outlying terminals for field visits and audits
• Complete a Certified Driver Trainer designation and TXTA Fleet Practitioner certificate

Compensation:

• Base salary paid biweekly.
• Quarterly performance bonus tied to safety KPI’s.
